Yessica and Diego Parra are siblings, and the fourth generation in their family to grow coffee. Their grandparents were among the first local buyers for Colombia's National Federation of Coffee Growers, and Yessica and Diego now run their own farm, El Mirador, in Pitalito, Huila, at 1,750 meters. Their brand is Diwan Coffee, and this Geisha is the second coffee they've sent us this year, after their washed Papayo. For it, they got really specific, starting with the ripest cherries, fermenting them whole in open tanks for 60 hours, then drying them slowly for about twenty days with the temperature held steady the whole way. Light roasted, the cup leads with currant and rhubarb tart, with violet running underneath. Juicy and vibrant.

Brunch is our take on a traditional “breakfast blend”. It’s a vibrant, juicy blend of a washed Ethiopia coffee, accompanied with other coffee components from Central America. We roast Brunch a bit lighter, to showcase its lively crispness, medium citrus acidity, and delicate body. This is a coffee that you will want to drink all day, every day. We taste bright citrus, almonds, and a pleasantly sweet black tea-like aftertaste.

A wonderful decaf for relaxing in the evening and unwinding with great tasting coffee. Our decaf offering is sourced and decaffeinated by our friends at Swiss Water, who use a 100% chemical-free-process to remove caffeine from the raw, green coffee. We then roast it to order, typically roasting decaf a bit darker than our other coffees, in order to accentuate the deep, sweet notes inherent in the coffee. We taste baking chocolate, black cherry, and molasses. It’s great in your drip brewer or a pour-over, but also extremely pleasant as an espresso option.

Kuta Mill sits on Kuta Ridge in the Waghi Valley of Papua New Guinea's Western Highlands, where smallholder farmers from the Ulga and Kolga tribes, once traditional rivals, now deliver cherry to the same mill and get paid bonuses for keeping it consistent. The cherry is washed in a three-stage process, sun-dried on raised beds, and the finished lot is hand-sorted to separate out the peaberries: a single round seed instead of the usual pair, which tends to come through denser and sweeter in the cup. Ours pours like cooling crème brûlée, with caramelized sugar up top, a malty middle, and a quiet dandelion root finish. Heavy, creamy body with mild acidity that mostly stays out of the way.

Our house blend coffee is named for Frothy Monkey’s first coffee house, located on 12th Avenue South here in Nashville, TN. This coffee is roasted to be a versatile crowd pleaser, to be an exceptional coffee, no matter what brew method is used. 12South is our most popular coffee, and we’re so proud to say it tastes great as a regular cup of coffee or espresso in your cappuccino or even as cold brew. The blend is medium roasted, with a plush body, low acidity and plenty of sweetness. We taste chocolate, hazelnuts and red apples.

Specifically developed for cold extraction but versatile enough for any brewing method, this carefully crafted blend combines Guatemalan and Ethiopian coffees for remarkable balance and clarity. When steeped cold for 12-18 hours, it develops a creamy, smooth body with refreshing acidity and distinctive notes of Bartlett pear, milk chocolate, and hazelnut. A few years ago, Oscar Medina decided he was going to rebuild the family farm from the ground up. He joined Proagromil, a small cooperative of about 90 producers in Monserrate that had been quietly turning out some of the best washed coffees in Huila for years, and got to work. A dedicated drying station. A proper processing area. A composting system so the pulp and mucilage don't go to waste. Oscar runs Finca Los Altares with his mother Omaira Quintero on 2.5 hectares of land near a river sitting at 1,696 meters. This lot took first place in the annual Lo Mejor de Monserrate competition. This is the one we'll be drinking over ice all summer. It took three coffees to get it right. The base is a washed Ethiopian from Wenago, and it's where the tangy limonada brightness comes from. The Colombian natural, grown by young producers across Antioquia, Quindío, and Huila, brings the strawberry and fudge notes.
